Sarawak Biodiversity Centre was my first choice when I applied for the industrial training 4 months ago and I’m glad that I made such choice.
Friendly staff all around and made lots and lots of friends during my journey here in SBC.
Gained mountains of knowledge in microbiology lab especially topics related to actinomycetes and managed to catch some knowledge on molecular work and media preparation. Such knowledge includes PCR, gel electrophoresis, gel excise, purification of PCR products, agar preparation and so much more that I can’t get my hands to write it all down here.
I now have a better understanding and hands on experience in handling microbes and laboratory equipment the right and efficient way. Besides falling in love more deeply in the field of biological science and microbiology, I believe this experience I gained will prove to be useful during my final year project.
Lastly I would like to thank all the colleague and my supervisor Hii Mei Mei for the willingness of having me around as a part of SBC family. I would definitely love to come back here to learn more. As of that, I am signing off.
