  • To head the Innovation and Commercialisation Division of SBC
  • To develop and execute comprehensive plans for business development, marketing, investments, collaborations, innovation and commercialisation, risk management, and safety and regulatory standards aligned to the goals and objectives of SBC and the Sarawak Bioindustrial Park (SBP)
  • To ensure the physical development the SBP project is carried out on time and in accordance with the approved plans, circulars, rules, regulations, other related instructions
  • To plan annual budget and manage utilisation of allocation for the project

Qualification:

  • The candidate must have a Master (CGPA of 3.0 and above) in Science, Project Management, Development Planning & Management, Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent qualification, recognised by the Government
  • The candidate must have background knowledge and understanding of science and biotechnology
  • The candidate must have an excellent command of English language (spoken and written)
  • Credit (at least Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu subject at SPM/SVM/MCE level
  • With at least 9 years (Grade N48) or 12 years (Grade N52) of experience related to business development and commercialization of research work

  • To prepare materials for the promotions and marketing of the Sarawak Bioindustrial Park (SBP), including developing marketing strategies for investment opportunities targeting local and foreign investors, companies and commercial partners
  • To research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other related information in order to facilitate direction regarding upcoming marketing projects, new products or services, and overall strategy for commercialisation
  • To interact, form partnerships and strategic relationships with potential investors, companies and commercial partners, as well as to facilitate Intellectual Property management, product development and commercialisation decisions
  • To carry out groundwork to develop business models, and market validation

Qualification:

  • The candidate must have relevant Bachelor’s Degree (CGPA of 3.0 and above) in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Development Planning & Management or equivalent qualification, recognised by the Government
  • The candidate must have background knowledge and understanding of science and biotechnology

Ethno Biological Research - 1 Vacancy

  • To implement Ethno Biological Research programmes
  • To organise and implement consultative meetings and field trips
  • Responsible for documentation, collection and propagation of plants
  • Responsible for plant taxonomy and inventory

LitSara® project - 1 Vacancy

  • To lead a project on sustainable production of community-based plants
  • To organise and carry out consultative meetings and dialogues with communities
  • To organize and implement capacity building workshops and field trips on collection, propagation, inventory and documentation of plants
  • Responsible for establishment of facilities and community farms at the villages

Qualification:

  • The candidates must have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree (CGPA of 3.0 and above), preferably Master or PhD in Botany/Plant Science, Biology Agriculture Science, Life Science, Plant Taxonomy, Agronomist, Plant Physiology, Plant Management or equivalent qualification, recognised by the Government
  • The candidates must have excellent command of English language (spoken and written)
  • Credit (at least Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu subject at SPM/SVM/MCE level
  • Preferably 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Must be physically fit, able to travel and work outdoors

Post 4:

Research Officer (Algae), Q41
Contract (2 years) - 2 Vacancies

Salary Schedule: Q41

  • To carry out routine analysis, operate and maintain the algae cultivation facility
  • To cultivate algae both indoors & outdoors and conduct algae morphology examination
  • To harvest and process algae biomass
  • To oversee asset and inventory management under the algae cultivation facility

Qualification:

  • The candidates must have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree (CGPA of 3.0 and above), preferably Master or PhD in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology or equivalent qualification, recognised by the Government
  • The candidates must have an excellent command of English language (spoken and written)
  • Credit (at least Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu subject at SPM/SVM/MCE level
  • Preferably 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Must be physically fit, able to travel and work outdoors

Assistant Auditor, W29

  • To assist in preparation of annual audit programme and gather information to prepare audit plan
  • To assist in carrying out entrance and exit conferences for audits, as well as preparation of audit observations, audit reports and compliance checking
  • To assist in preparation of feedback on audit queries from Jabatan Audit Negara
  • To assist in preparation of minutes of meeting, meeting papers, circular resolutions and related documents for Audit Committee and Sarawak Biodiversity Council

Qualification:

  • The candidate must have a Diploma (CGPA of 3.0 and above) in Accounting or equivalent qualification, recognised by the Government
  • The candidate must have background knowledge and understanding of audit
  • The candidate must have a good command of English language (spoken and written)
  • Credit (at least Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu subject at SPM/SVM/MCE level
  • Preferably 1-3 years of related work experience
