SBC's Field Assistant, Hanas Harry Ranip checks on a Litsea cubeba plant which he has propagated.
The Litsea cubeba is a plant that grows well along hilly areas which have been cleared. The indigenous communities use the fruits from the plant as a condiment in their cooking and to treat stomachache, while the leaves are used as relief for backaches.
Hanas and the field team at SBC take great pride in their work and contribution towards research and development to harness benefits from our local biodiversity.
