Sarawak Biodiversity Centre was my first choice when I applied for the industrial training 4 months ago and I’m glad that I made such choice.
Friendly staff all around and made lots and lots of friends during my journey here in SBC.

When I first received the acceptance letter from SBC to carry out my industrial training, I was excited because my long awaited wish was finally granted. I’m currently taking my degree in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), studying Industrial Chemistry.

I definitely think that carrying out my industrial training at the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) was one of the best choices I have ever made. I am currently studying for a Degree in Biology from UiTM.

Though my attachment and training at SBC’s microbiology laboratory, I was able to apply the theory and skills that I have learnt in class in a real working environment. I also learned many new things and gained knowledge that will be useful for my final year research project.

I am taking up a Bachelor’s Degree course in Biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia, Sabah (UMS). This industrial training at the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) means a lot to me as it is the first working experience that I have had.

During my industrial training, I was attached to the Molecular Biology laboratory. As I did plant tissue culture for my final year project at UMS, I was unfamiliar with molecular work. However, I took up this challenge of learning something new.

I am very grateful that the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) has given me the opportunity to carry out my Industrial Training in such a great place. I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biotechnology Resource from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and will be graduating soon.

It has been a great experience to be attached to SBC’s Molecular Biology laboratory, given the new skills, knowledge and techniques that I have picked up through a very hands-on experience in experimentation.
