Objective: To provide participants with hands-on experience in basic scientific experiments, demonstrating key principles of chemistry and drug research.
Method/Activity: Set-up a corner with small-scale science experiments such as:
- Chromatography – Separating colours from food dyes/colored candies/markers using water and filter paper.
- Natural pH indicators - using food grade ingredient to determine their acidity and alkaline properties
Participants will follow guided instructions and record their observations.
Learning Outcome: Participants will gain insight into the significance of pH in drug formulation, and learn how chromatography is used to separate compounds in drug development.
