Molecular Biology - 1 post (Jawatan Berasaskan Caruman)
- To develop and implement molecular techniques for diverse range of biological sample studies.
- To perform bioprospecting of natural product library through cell-based and cell-free approaches such as anti-inflammatory and cytotoxicity assays.
- To carry out nucleic acid extraction and amplification of targeted genes for molecular identification of plant and microbial species.
Bioinformatics - 1 post (Jawatan Berasaskan Caruman)
- To carry out bioinformatics analysis on omics data.
- To develop custom software tools or data analytics pipelines to process and interpret data in R or Python programming language.
- To create visualizations to represent complex biological data in an accessible and interpretable manner.
Algae - 1 post (Contract on project basis)
- To carry out sampling, isolation and identification of targeted strains/ samples.
- To conduct indoor & outdoor cultivation of targeted strains/ samples.
- To conduct R&D on targeted samples to be developed for commercialization such as biofuel, supplements and animal feed.
Qualification:
- The candidates must have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree (CGPA of 3.0 and above), preferably Master’s Degree (CGPA of 3.0 and above) or PhD in Science, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualification, recognised by the Government.
- The candidates must have background knowledge and understanding of Research and Development.
- The candidates must have excellent command of English language (spoken and written).
- Credit (at least Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu subject at SPM/SVM/MCE level.
- Preferably 1-3 years of related work experience.
- Must be physically fit, able to travel and work outdoors.
