Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) to Celebrate Biodiversity Day 2023 on 27 May 2023

Kuching, Sarawak - The Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) is excited to announce its annual event, SBC Biodiversity Day 2023, in conjunction with the International Day for Biological Diversity, which falls on May 22. This year's celebration will be held on May 27, 2023, at KM20 Jalan Borneo Heights, Semenggoh 93250 Kuching, from 8 am to 5 pm, and admission is free.
This year's theme for the International Day for Biological Diversity is "From Agreement to Action: Building Back Biodiversity," which focuses on promoting actions to support the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. SBC Biodiversity Day 2023 provides an opportunity to engage and educate the public, school students, universities, and research institutes about the importance of conserving biodiversity.
SBC Biodiversity Day offers a range of activities, including a science games exhibition, traditional knowledge showcase, guided jungle trekking, and exhibitions from various agencies and local communities.
"This year's theme is especially important as we continue to work towards protecting and conserving our rich biodiversity. We hope to inspire action and promote awareness among the public, especially the younger generation." said Dr Yeo Tiong Chia, CEO of SBC.
