Position 1: Research Officer (Research and Development Programme), Q41
Contract (2 Years) - 2 Vacancies
Salary Schedule: Q41

The successful candidate will be expected to work in one of the following:
I) Algae Research
- Conduct algae related research for bio-gas production.
- Conduct chemical analysis for algae strains.
- Conduct optimization experiments for algae growth and scale-up processes.
- Conduct operational and data collection of technologies such as supercritical water gasification.
- Conduct up-scale cultivation of algae under laboratories condition and at the outdoor facility.
II) Analytical Chemistry
- Conduct extraction, isolation and fractionation of targeted plants or microbes.
- Conduct elucidation of structures for isolated bioactive compounds.
- Conduct plant collection and processing of plant for extraction.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree (CGPA of 3.0 and above) and preferably Master’s Degree (CGPA of 3.0 and above) or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Government.
- Preferably 1-3 years of experience in handling technologies related to thermo chemical processes or work related to biopolymer.
- Must be physically fit, able to travel and work outdoors.
- Have good command of English language (spoken and written).
- Credit (at least Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu subject at SPM/SVM/MCE level.
Position 2: Assistant Research Officer (Research and Development Programme), Q29
Contract (2 Years) - 2 Vacancies

The successful candidate will be expected to work in one of the following:
I) Algae Research
- Conduct algae culture maintenance at indoor laboratories and outdoor facility.
- Assist in preparation of materials necessary for experiment.
- Assist in data collection for experiment.
- Assists Research Officers in laboratory/routine work.
- Implement good laboratory practice.
Qualification:
- Diploma in Science (CGPA of 3.0 and above) or equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Government.
- Preferably 1 to 3 years of experience related to science, aquatic science, medical laboratory technology, biology, or chemistry.
- Computer literate i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
- Must be physically fit, able to travel and work outdoors.
- Have good command of the English language (spoken and written).
- Credit (at least Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu subject at SPM/SVM/MCE level.
